What Size RV Garage Do I Need?
It depends on what you're parking and what your lot can handle. Motorhome, fifth wheel, boat and trailer, side-by-side, or some combination of all of them. Tell us what's going inside and we'll design around it.
Ceiling height is the big one, and it's not as straightforward as picking a number. Overall garage height gets determined by the reference point at the street and your lot's elevation. We need plans and elevations before we can lock in the final height and door clearance. That said, most of our Lake Havasu builds end up at 16-foot doors or taller. Owners want the room for future upgrades and it's a lot cheaper to build it right the first time.
We typically add a roll-up door to the back of the garage so you can access the backyard for any future builds like a pool, or just use for ventilation. We also add a bathroom in most builds. Once people realize how much time they spend out there loading up for trips or working on the rig, they're glad they didn't skip it.

If you're in a community with an HOA like The Refuge or The Riviera, your garage plans also need to go through the Design Review Committee before the city permit. In The Refuge, that means submitting by the 25th of the month for review on the second Tuesday. Miss the deadline and you wait another 30 days.
